Rumors are moving around that Microsoft is going to produce a modified and refreshed variant of its earlier Surface Book. The company has decided that its Surface all-in-one (AIO) personal computers will have displays of 4K having higher resolutions.\r\n\r\nThe new refreshed variants of the Surface Books will have the new Intel Kaby Lake processor and will be featured with USB 3.1 support. The Windows Central has stated that the processing units will also support enhanced graphics card capable of 3D and 4K graphics. The addition of the Intel Kaby Lake processor is not officially confirmed by Windows Central but it does reveal that the internal components will get hardware updates.\r\n\r\nWhen Microsoft released the original product with a metallic body, many users praised the product as the build quality was impressive. However, as far as the design of this new refreshed product is concerned, the Surface Book is said to directly address the fulcrum hinge which was the major complaint the consumers were having with the original Surface Book product. The fulcrum hinge that was to be used for attaching keyboard to the tablet\/display produced inconvenience for many people. Unlike the traditional laptops, if a person closed the Surface Book, the fulcrum hinge doesn\u2019t shut it completely. There appeared a gap between the lids i.e. there remained a separation between keyboard and display. Such an appearance was naturally not acceptable to all.\r\n\r\nSources from Windows Central have revealed that the gap produced by the fulcrum hinge is going to be removed in the new refreshed Surface Book, this way it will be giving a pretty look. However, how this new design will be carried out while keeping the hinge fully functional is not yet known.\r\n\r\nIn the meantime, it is expected that Microsoft will soon announce a Surface AIO PC that will be available for use in the sitting room. It is said that these Surface AIOs will come in screen sizes of 21, 24 and 27-inches. The 21-inch variant is expected to have a full HD screen resolution of 1080 pixels, whereas the latter two with resolution displays of 4K. However, whether Microsoft is going to make all these models available for sale or not is not confirmed yet.\r\n\r\nPotentially it also appears that the company is working on these three variants of Surface AIO PCs for testing purposes. It is likely that when the company announces the Surface AIO, it announces just two of them. According to The Verge, It was previously declared by Microsoft that a new Surface-branded product will be released this year and three in the coming year. Although it cannot be confirmed that Microsoft would release first, however, the release time of the year 2017 is more probable. Also, Tech Radar has stated that Intel Corporation may release the Kaby Lake processors before 2016 ends.
